Adoddle 18.4 New Features and Key Enhancements
Project
Forms Save button caption changes:In
this release the Save button in a form is renamed. Create new original
message “Save” is renamed as “Send”, for edit original message “Save”
is renamed as “Update”, forwarding a form “Save” is renamed as “Send”
and while replying to a form “Save” is renamed as “Send”.
Files
upload enhanced: This
release includes an enhancement in File Upload wherein now there is an
ability to auto resume upload of any large file which was disrupted due
to any break in internet connectivity. This feature is available for drag
and drop/ standard upload only in Adoddle.
Enhancing
the Reports: Asite
continues to enhance its reporting. The new feature added to tabular reports
in this release is a hyperlink gets created for every record listed in
tabular file reports which enables users to directly view a particular
document by clicking on the hyperlink in report table.
Parity with Adoddle Classic:
The Adoddle 18 platform is continuously being enhanced to have parity with all key functions available in Adoddle Classic. Adoddle 18 introduces the following parity functions:
v Introducing ability to filter files / forms on Form Association screen: This release introduces an ability to filter documents or forms records to easily associate them with a forms or discussion they are creating.
v Forms button in File Viewer LH menu renamed as Associations: This button shall display all existing associations like comments, forms and other external reference files for file being viewed.
Platform Enhancements:
v Upgraded to Latest Stable JBoss version.
Adoddle 18 provides a unique and comprehensive set of capabilities in a single, unified environment in order to manage your Drawings, Project Schedules, BIM Models, Reports and Apps and share information across teams spread over different geographies.
Adoddle allows teams access and re-use data throughout the lifecycle of an asset. It’s a powerful and easy to use interface allows you to track and capture data throughout the stages of Feasibility, Detailed Design, Construction Design, Construction and Facilities Management.
1.1 Dashboard
Project Filter to show all selected records instead of top 10: This release introduces an enhancement wherein the Project Filter will now show all selected project records instead of showing only top ten records. |

1.2 Files
Introducing ability to filter files / forms on Form Association screen: This release introduces an ability to filter documents or forms records to easily associate them with a forms or discussion they are creating. |

Files upload enhanced: This release includes an enhancement in File Upload wherein now there is an ability of auto resume upload in case of any break in connectivity while uploading a large size file.

1.3 Project Forms
AppBuilder ability to retain form associations & attachments while responding: The Adoddle release enhances the AppBuilder by introducing an ability to retain all parent form associations & attachments while creating a response from parent form view. This feature is available upon request.

Ability to launch Edit ORI from Form Viewer screen: Adoddle Project Forms now have an ability in AppBuilder to launch Edit ORI view from the form view itself. This feature is available upon request.

1.4 Project Forms – Developers Section

AppBuilder ability to fetch particular project form data in XML: Adoddle AppBuilder capability to fetch a particular project form data from a particular project in XML format thru web service is updated. Now parameter name should be prefixed by “impl:” e.g. Parameter name is projectid then it should be “impl:projectid”. This is applicable If data connection is refreshed or new data connection is added for web service in the AppBuilder form, parameters will need to be handled along with the namespace prefix.
Note: This is related to the WebServices for API functions within AppBuilder where the parameters have changed due to JBoss upgrade and future development of Apps require change. All existing forms will continue to work unaffected.

1.5 Adoddle Reports
Out-of-the-box Report Extension: Adoddle continues to extend the reporting module by including document hyperlinks in tabular reports wherein Adoddle users can now directly view a particular document by simply clicking the document hyperlink in the tabular report. This feature is currently made available in below mentioned tabular reports:

Adoddle Navigator is a user-friendly desktop application that allows you to upload 2D and 3D files and collaborate with Project teams. Adoddle users have the option to synchronize information locally while working offline on the native applications before signing-in to Adoddle and publish them as revisions.
Adoddle Navigator integrates directly with Autodesk Revit and facilities exchanging data from 3D BIM Collaborative environment such as COBie (Construction Operation Building Information Exchange). Users are able to connect all project data to models regardless of their BIM Authoring tool. With a centralized storage of all versions of your models in a collaborative online environment users can harness the power of Big Data and extensible toolkit for Collaborative BIM.

Focus with Transparency: Users can now benefit using new right click option of Focus with Transparency which allows users to focus on a single object and make others transparent. |
New Reset button in ribbon: Multiple objects in search results and object lists now can be Highlighted or Focused with Transparency in a single go. This feature is also implemented for both Advanced and Browser viewers in Adoddle Navigator. |

Associated Views Quick Access: Now users can view the associated views with a comment by clicking on new button which will populate a list of all associated views for a comment in a new pop up window. View selected from list will be displayed.

Tick Mark Option in Cutting Plane: A new tick mark option is now available in cutting plane which helps users to visually recon which plane is selected for cutting X, Y or Z.

Improved Cutting Section visibility: Adoddle Navigator comes with improved viewing of cutting section.

Improved walk mode in models: The walk mode in models is now improved for better user experience. Now users can use the walk mode smoothly.

Improved Revit Plug-in: Adoddle Navigator now has improved Revit plug-in which now works with any User Account settings.

Updating the applets DOES NOT require Administration rights on local machine.
Clicking on “Always” option when prompted with a certificate will ensure that similar prompts do not happen for current as well as any other applet signed by Asite. If this option has already been activated, these updates will automatically install.
