Asite Autumn 08 Patch Release includes the following new functionality:
1.1 General Items

Users are now required to have a unique email address associated against each Asite account |
1.2 Document Management
|
You can now compare two documents that are published in a project. You need to enable the Project Level setting for comparing the files. For more details please click here. |

Instant email notifications for Document Actions / Unread Comments / Checked out documents will now include Document Title within the mail content. |
1.3 Workflow Management
|
You can distribute a Custom form with actions automatically without having to select values within the Distribution module. For more details please click here. |

You can set Distribution step as optional while creating form messages. You can create form messages without distributing the form to any other user if this setting is set to ON. |
|
You can create responses even if they are not recipients to the individual messages. This feature is available for Non-controller based forms only. |

You can now export the Custom Form data from within the Excel Report |

3. System Changes
Asite Autumn 08 Patch Release has the following changes to configuration requirements and plug-ins:
3.1 Changes to PC Configuration Requirements (Footprint)
None
3.2 Changes to Applets
Asite Viewer: Comparing a file for the first time in the Asite Viewer will result in the following:
Users will be prompted to to download an ActiveX control.
Once accepted, the user will be able to compare the project documents in the Asite viewer ActiveX.
Upload Applet: Uploading Files using "Asite Upload" preference will result in the following
Users will be prompted to accept the certificate for downloading the Applet (AsiteUpload.jar).
Once accepted, the applet will be downloaded and placed in the Java Cache Folder of Sun JVM automatically by the Browser
Notes:
1. Updating the applets detailed above DOES NOT require Administration rights on local machine.
2. Clicking on “Always” option when prompted with a certificate will ensure that similar prompts do not happen for current as well as any other applet signed by Asite. If this option has already been activated, these updates will automatically install.
