Asite R15.5 – Release Notes includes the following new functionality:
1.1 Document Manager

Projects can now configure their own set of attributes and will not be restricted to the standard attribute set currently available within the Document Manager. The customisation includes ability to set labels, validations (mandatory or not) and also application at individual folder level.
Users will be able to search for these attributes using the content search field. Search functions will be extended within Release 15.6.

To optimise available memory to JRE within client machine, users will be able to directly print to the default system printer. This is available as a user preference and is useful for users printing heavy files in large numbers. Users opting for this batch printing option will need to set the printing preferences prior to initiating the batch printing operation from Asite.

The “Extract Files on Download” option will be set to OFF by default. This will enable users to perform batch download operations without needing to install JRE on their machine. Please click here for details.

Users have ability to save the Form as a DRAFT during the Edit ORI process. This will create a draft (similar to the Auto-Save function).

Users can update their profile photos from within cBIM application.
|

Users can now publish IFC files directly from Windows Explorer. Asite cBIM users will get a right-click option within windows explorer to publish the local IFC file directly to a cBIM Model.

Users will now need to synchronies the project models before viewing the models in cBIM viewer. Multiple models can be synchronised simultaneously.

Similar to the web-client, the Asite cBIM application has been upgraded to support multiple languages, time-zones as well as UTF-8 characters.

Users will be able to select Fonts, Colours, font-size, line size of markups as well as delete the marked up entities within cBIM Application. Markups will continue to be read-only once they are part of a review process.

The merging and revisioning of IFC files are now at the Workset level instead of Doc. Ref. level.
|
|
COBie is an information exchange specification, for the life-cycle capture and delivery of information needed by facility managers.
Users will now be able to generate and export COBie data in Spreadsheet XML format. For cBIM, mapping from IFC to COBie is done using the Responsibility Matrix acquired from the BuildingSMART alliance January 2013 Challenge.

Notes:
1. Updating the applets DOES NOT require Administration rights on local machine.
2. Clicking on “Always” option when prompted with a certificate will ensure that similar prompts do not happen for current as well as any other applet signed by Asite. If this option has already been activated, these updates will automatically install.
3. Navigator update also does not require administrator rights.
4. Asite cBIM installation / update requires administrator rights "C:\Windows\System32" folder.
