"Workflow Manager" allows team members with the following privileges and permissions to deactivate a Placeholder in the same way as deactivating a published document.

The following lists the steps to deactivate a Placeholder:
1. From the Doc Listing page, select the Folder from which Placeholders are to be deactivated.
2. Select Placeholders only option from the Doc. Type dropdown.
3. Click on Search
Search
results will display the Placeholders available in the folder.
4. Select the Placeholders that are to be deactivated by marking the checkbox as ON.
5. Click on icon.
The
selected Placeholders will be listed in the confirmation page.
6. Click on the Continue
The
selected Placeholders will be deactivated and will be displayed
with an
icon on all the pages and will
be displayed with an
icon
on all the pages if entire document is being deactivated along with the
placeholder.
A
confirmation of the Placeholder deactivated will be displayed in a result
page.
If
you are not having privileges, a confirmation of the Placeholders not
being deactivated will be displayed in the result page.
Useful Tips:
A new actual document/ a new Paper document can not be published over the deactivated Placeholder.
FAQ's:
Q: I am not able to deactivate a Placeholder though i have Admin permissions on the folder.
A: You need the privileges mentioned above besides Admin permissions on the folder in order to be able to deactivate a placeholder.
